REDD Game Project
It is an Agent Based Simulation (ABS) tool which simulates the functioning of a small, rural community located at the agricultural frontier in Bolivia for 20 years. The tool helps users understand the effects resulting from different policies on forest cover, human well-being and equity, and it will highlight the trade-offs involved. The user plays the role of the community leader and the objective is to improve human well-being in the community as much as possible, considering the option of external financing for reduced emissions from deforestation. The simulator was built in collaboration with researchers at London School of Economics and Inesad in Bolivia, Sussex University and SOAS in London.
